Our Story
The Timmins Comedy Festival was started in 2014 by Rick Lemieux to bring world class comedy & variety acts to Timmins and create opportunities for local northern comics. The festival also raises money for Timmins charities.
Rick Lemieux
President, C.E.O. & C.F.O. 2014 – Present
Rick worked as a Police Officer for 20 years and left policing to pursue a comedy career. He has shared the stage with Gerry Dee, Derek Edwards, Mike MacDonald, Pete Zedlacher, Brent Butt and Jason Alexander
Richard Steudle
Co-chair 2022 – Present
Richard is a stand-up comedian who produces a variety of shows in Timmins and across northern Ontario. He co-hosts 2 comedic podcasts ‘Unethical Podcast’ & ‘Private Dicks’
Jean-François Brisson
Co-chair 2022 – Present
Jean-François is a bilingual stand-up comedian, owner of Empire Cochrane & northern Ontario ambassador for C.A.S.C.
